God is free

All accommodation, food, pujas and services at Skanda Vale are provided free of charge and we never fundraise or ask anyone for donations of any kind. Everyone who lives here works as volunteers, without pay. We rely entirely on your anonymous, voluntary donations to run Skanda Vale.

Your donations help us fulfil our charitable objectives.

Gift Aid

You can increase the value of your donation by 25% at no additional cost. If you are a UK taxpayer then all you have to do is click the gift aid option on the donation page and we will then receive an additional 25% of the amount you give us, directly from the Inland Revenue. You must pay an amount of income or capital gains tax at least equal to 25% of the value of your donation. Find out more about Gift Aid.

Contactless donations:

You can donate by card or phone outside the Maha Shakti and Lord Murugan Temples. It’s really simple to add Gift Aid, just follow the steps on the touchscreen of the donation terminal.

Cash:

Cash can be put in the big yellow donation boxes, located outside each of the three temples in the ashram. Please do not offer cash in the temples. Remember to pick up a gift aid form in reception, fill it in and put it in the donation box with your cash.

Cheque or postal order:

Cheques and postal orders can be made out to ‘Skanda Vale Temple’. Please post them to Skanda Vale, Llanpumsaint, Carmarthen, SA33 6JT, Wales, UK, or if you prefer, put it in a yellow donation box outside the temple. Don’t forget to download and print a gift aid form.

Skanda Vale Hospice charity project

Skanda Vale’s main seva project is providing free care and support for families affected by life-limiting illnesses. This part of our work is administered by our partner charity Skanda Vale Hospice CIO. The two charities are integrally linked; Skanda Vale community members offer their time and skills for free to serve our patients and their families.

Governance
