Seva & Satsang Weekend

Thursday 1st
to Sunday 4th October 2026

Join us for a long weekend of selfless service, worship in the temples, satsang with community members and a visit to Skanda Vale Hospice, our main charity project. Seva runs through the day, and from 5pm you’ll join the ashram’s normal evening programme.

The seva is a mix of outdoor and indoor work: maintaining the natural play area, developing the vegetable garden, helping in the kitchen, juicing fruit for the temple abhishekams, and whatever the ashram’s current projects need closer to the time. Seva is at the heart of how the ashram lives, and taking part in it is the most direct way to understand it. For a lot of people, these weekends have been the first step towards a closer involvement with Skanda Vale.

The programme runs as a whole, so we ask people to stay for all of it — arriving on Thursday between 4 and 5pm and leaving any time from 1pm on Sunday. Earlier arrivals and longer stays are possible, and accommodation is arranged for you once places are confirmed.

A happy few days, in good company.
